Fearon Hall is a building with historical interest and a wonderful example of grand victorian architecture. Built in a tudor gothic style in 1889 to celebrate the memory of Henry Fearon, Archdeacon of Leicester and Rector of All Saints with Holy Trinity Parish Church, Loughborough from 1848 until his death in 1885. Situated in a conservation area adjacent to the church with beautiful views across the Parish Green and access to a community garden and wildlife spaces. The Hall was extended in 1910. As well as lending his name to the Hall, Archdeacon Fearon also made his mark in the town with the Fearon Fountain in the Market Place, the town's first fresh water supply, installed in 1870, as well as Fearon Jitty, next to the Parish Church. He was an inspirational Victorian rector who spoke out against poverty, disease and poor education and promoted his faith passionately. The Hall originally served as the Chrurch Hall, Parish Sunday School and entertainment venue but throughout it’s history has served a variey of uses - The 1st Loughborough (Parish) Scout Group has met at the Hall since 1900 and still meets to this day. During the war years it was a venue for patriotic entertainment and a base for the Home Guard and in the 1960’s was the home for Loughborough Art School. In the late 70’s it was the venue for a legendary gig by Jools Holland and in 2014 celebrated it’s 125th year anniversary. Fearon Hall - Historical Images Fearon Community Association (FCA) was formed in December 1979 and with the support of Charnwood Borough Council leased Fearon Hall from the Church for use as a community centre for the benefit of the local people. Situated in East Loughborough it serves the needs of vulnerable residents living in the wards of Lemyngton and Hastings. The area has been identified as having particularly high levels of deprivation and need. It is a local authority designated priority neighbourhood. FCA was set up as a charity which registered as a company limited by guarantee in 2009. This was to allow the trustees to further the aims of the organisation and continue to provide opportunities for local people living in Loughborough. The underlying core principles to maintain and improve the quality of life for the local community through community cohesion, social integration and recreational well-being and providing facilities to local groups for recreation, education and training. Today, through a modern FCA, we continue this tradition and aim to make the Hall a vibrant and flexible centre offering a friendly and welcoming environment and a range of versatile spaces for community use and hire. Providing a host of groups, activities and events for the public to enjoy. We aim to celebrate and enjoy our broad community in a variety of ways: Social Inclusion By increasing opportunities for members of the community to engage with activities that meet individual needs. Health & Wellbeing By improving mental health and promoting healthy lifestyles. Personal Development By increasing opportunities to acquire skills, build self-esteem and develop confidence. Community Development By supporting neighbourhood, community and voluntary sector groups to grow and develop. We want Fearon Hall to be a place where people can feel safe, welcome and with a sense of purpose and belonging. Encouraging participation through attending community events, volunteering or just somewhere where you can pop in for a coffee and a chat! Ultimately we aim to provide a responsive community provision that is relevant to the needs of a modern society and work with partners to deliver an exciting, vibrant community centre that is the urban village hall in the heart of Loughborough.

Our goal is to empower undeserved communities by providing them with the essential resources and skills to address health and wellness issues. Through our services, we strive to improve the well-being of individuals and communities.
Communities Food and Wellbeing Hub (CFWH) was set up to support diverse communities in need through these challenging times that the cost of living crisis has brought. Our hubs of food, health and wellbeing support for individuals, offer holistic interactive wellbeing sessions, school holiday hunger family packages and access to professional support for those living with chronic disease such as diabetes. Facilitators include doctors to optimise health and wellbeing content, social prescribers, community professionals, and volunteers who share up to date advice on budgeting, resources and signposting to relevant services.
Our primary objective as a charity is to provide services of a public benefit by relieving poverty, promoting health and education among communities in the City of Leicester and Leicestershire.
