Christmas Dinner

This art exhibition showcases the creative work of a group of women from Afghanistan who gather weekly to sew together. Ove the course of several months, artist Jacqui Gallon has worked alongside this group to create an environment where the act of stitching is celebrated. Through stitching, these women affirm their identities, build connections, and develop resilience in challenging times.

The exhibition features an array of embroidered and stitched pieces. Included are samples produced during the sessions, along with cherished objects that have accompanied the women and carry deep personal significance. Additionally, a film created as part of the project tells the stories behind these meaningful items.

A selection of traditional Afghan food will be available for tasting 1-2pm.

Loughborough 1st Scouts have met at Fearon Hall since the early 1900’s and continue to meet every Monday during term time.

Beavers – Age 6-8.  Boys & girls.  Try new things, make new friends.  Joining Beavers is just the start of your big adventure.

Scouts – Age 10 ½ .  Boys & girls. With over 100 years’ experience in character education, the scout movement has helped young people enjoy fun and adventure, learn new skills and become active citizens of the future.

It’s good stuff doing good with every penny you spend used to keep Fearon Hall open as a vital community resource for all. It also allows us to provide support to the most vulnerable people in our community. So when you buy from our shop that’s not only cost effective for you, it will also be making a difference for those who need it the most. So, everyone wins!

Situated in the Main Hall, our welcoming and friendly community café is the heartbeat of Fearon Hall and is a central focus for visitors during Hall opening times.

Open Tuesday to Friday, 9.00am to 2.00pm for breakfast goodies, lunches, light refreshments, yummy homemade bakes and treats and a selection of hot and cold drinks, to eat in or takeaway.

It’s good food, doing good. With everything cooked from fresh ingredients in the Hall kitchen and all diets catered for with vegetarian and vegan options too. And of course, every penny you spend is reinvested back into providing community activities at the Hall.

Do you enjoy sewing or would like to learn how to sew? Then why not join us every Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon for our friendly sewing group.

Learn a new skill, share tips, make new friends and enjoy a chat with other like-minded people in a safe and friendly environment. No experience or equipment necessary.

Refreshments available from The Café in the Hall.

We stock groceries close to their ‘use by’ or ‘best before’ date. This means we can offer items at incredible value that are all still perfectly good to eat, that would otherwise end up in the bin!

Cubs – Age 8 – 10 ½.  Boys and girls.  Every week Cubs gather in groups called Cub Packs to take part in lots of interesting and challenging activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.

Explorers – Age 14 – 18.  Boys & girls.  Explorer Scouts have the opportunity to take part in adventurous activities, local conservation projects, creative projects, camps and expeditions, community support…the list is endless!
