Eco Dyeing Papers Workshop

Come and join local artist Janet Middleton and learn how to create beautiful botanical art using leaves and flowers eco printed on watercolor paper.

You will be selecting plant materials from the surrounding area (you are welcome to bring your own specimens too). Janet will take you through the eco dyeing process – sandwiching specimens between beautiful watercolour paper before boiling in water, together with a mordant. When dry each person will have created their own unique imprint.

The papers can be used on their own or used in the follow up journal making workshop on the 11th July.

All materials provided. An apron or old shirt would be useful.

Swap Drop

Gift or swap your surplus garden goodies at Fearon Hall, Tuesday to Friday and every first Saturday of the month, 9am – 3pm from May to October.

Reduce food waste, help the local community and promote a more sustainable way of sourcing foods.

Drop off home grown fruit, vegetables, herbs or even seeds, seedlings or plants.  Our own gardeners will also be growing edible plants in our amenity beds around the Hall so keep an eye out for what’s available.

Surplus garden goodies can be collected and used by anyone who would like it absolutely free of charge. Contributions go towards supporting local families and elderly residents who can’t afford to buy fresh and to encourage people to try more locally produced food or to have a go at growing themselves.

Our café will be open for breakfast and other refereshments.
