Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to socially distance, capacity across all rooms is limited. Covid compliant numbers are shown below. These have been based on a 2m spacing for each individual. There are some mitigating circumstances should you follow the Covid guidelines accurately and produce a risk assessment which may mean you can reduce spacing to 1.5m or even 1m. Home to our very own Café in the Hall, our kitchen is also available to hire. Newly refitted in 2020 with brand new appliances throughout and to the very latest health and safety standards. This makes it ideal for cookery training or small scale food production.
With it’s serving hatch opening onto the Main Hall this also makes the kitchen an ideal space for serving refreshments at larger community events.
When booking the kitchen you will need a conversation with our café manager in the first instance to agree the exact equipment required and to sign paperwork regarding the correct use of appliances. Should you require more equipment than is readily available in the kitchen then there will be a further small hire charge.
If hiring the kitchen alongside another room then the kitchen would need to be hired for the same number of hours as your main booking.
You are required to provide us with a risk assessment when hiring the kitchen showing you understand the health and safety requirements of working in a kitchen. Any person preparing food for others should have food hygiene knowledge &/or certificates. Both would be your responsibility as the main hirer of the room.
