Fearon Hall has been hosting an NHS Covid Vaccination Clinic from lunch time today (Thursday 17 June) due to a rise in cases of the Delta Variant of Coronavirus (previously known as the variant first identified in India).  Cases in our area are of Lemyngton & Hastings are currently 342.5 per 100,000 population compared to a Leicestershire average of 57.9 and an England average of 69.9.

Initially the rules were to vaccinate only those who lived within the Lemyngton & Hastings wards, however after some negotiation we are now very pleased to let you know that a decision has been made to vaccinate anyone with an LE11 postcode.

The clinic runs from Thursday 17 June to Sunday 20 June, 12 noon until 9pm and is offering the Pfizer vaccine which is suitable for all eligible ages and pregnant women. The Clinic leaders do not have an infinite supply of vaccines and when they are gone the clinic will need to close.

If this is your first vaccine you must meet the current criteria as listed below: –

  • You are aged over 21 (or turn 21 before 1 July 2021)
  • You have a health condition which puts you at high risk of covid
  • You are aged 18+ and live with someone who is high risk or are over 50
  • You are aged 18+ and you live with two or more adults and you are not from the same family
  • You are a carer
  • You are a health & care worker

The clinic is also offering second vaccines for anyone who previously had the Pfizer vaccine, if you can prove that your first vaccine was more than a month previous.

Parking for the vaccination clinic is at the Rushes Car Park in Loughborough.

There is a managed queue outside Fearon Hall, please join the queue and you will be met by stewards who will answer any of your questions.
