Taiwanese Art Interns Visit

by | Jul 18, 2022 | Art in the Hall, Hall News

We are delighted to be welcoming a group of Taiwanese students who will be joining us at Fearon Hall as art interns over the summer. This is a fantastic opportunity for cultural exchange and to showcase Fearon Hall’s work as a centre which nurtures growth and development in many areas of life, including through the creative arts. The students are very excited to be coming to the UK and as part of their preparations have designed their own banner.

As Arts Coordinator and Curator, I have planned a very busy programme for our visitors. Several local artists have generously volunteered their time to collaborate with them. including James Chantry, Miffy Ryan, Pasha Kincaid, Vanessa Parkinson, Emily Arnold, Zanetta Middleton and Paul Conneally.

This work will be impacting on our activites with the community in various ways. For example, artist Pasha Kincaid will be helping the interns design a polystyrene block printing workshop for children. The interns will put their own special Taiwanese spin on this technique during their workshop with children. A fun workshop making Taiwanese festival masks is also planned.
