It has been a difficult year for everyone including us at Fearon Hall. With the Covid pandemic causing numerous lockdowns, lots of illness and uncertainty around people meeting indoors we didn’t know if we could or should open at certain points. However as we move into the winter of 2021 we are building our timetable of activities happening within Fearon Hall.  We have worked hard to bring the building to life over the past year, decorating, adding new soft furnishings and purchasing new furniture so that you, the community will want to visit us again. Check out our posts about improvements during lockdown and our upgrade to the acoustics in the Main Hall.

Our community offer is provided on set days of the week when our café is open – Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  We play bingo, we dance, we have a choir for people losing their memory, we have an art group, we garden, we have a Friends Social Group and a Men’s Group and have been a meeting point for carers. You can learn to cook or brush up on your IT with access to our computer suite. You can join us on a short stroll on one of our wellness walks or go further afield on one of our coach trips. You can Beat the Winter Blues or you can just watch TV and chat over a cup of tea and a sweet treat from the café. Most of all we welcome everyone to the Hall with open arms.  Many people are lonely and looking for company so visit Fearon Hall to make friends. Some have mental health difficulties and need our support, others come because they want to get behind out cause and lend a helping hand. Whatever reason you may have to visit us we will always be very pleased to see you.

If you have a skill or a qualification in a particular subject and think you could help us with our community offer then please get in touch.  We need community minded people to help us for as little as one hour a week.  Can you teach seated yoga, could you run a craft group, how about becoming our resident Bingo caller or DJ. We need you at Fearon Hall whatever your skill, please drop me a line or pop into the Hall for a chat about your availability.

Everyone welcome to join us for whatever it is you need to do at Fearon Hall.
