Fearon Hall is launching a new community working group next month – and we’d love local people to be part of it.
At our community meeting in February, many residents shared thoughtful feedback about parking, traffic, footfall, and how people travel to and from Fearon Hall. We heard concerns about parking on nearby residential streets, but also ideas about accessibility, sustainability, and making it easier for everyone to use the Hall responsibly.
As a result, we are creating a new Community Travel Options and Policy (CTOP) Working Group to help shape the future of travel and access at Fearon Hall. The group will meet every two months and will bring together Hall users, local residents, staff, church representatives, and local councillors. Together, we’ll look at how people currently travel to the Hall, review data and local experiences, and explore practical ways to improve things for everyone.
This could include:
- Encouraging safer and more sustainable travel
- Looking at parking pressures on nearby streets
- Exploring drop-off and accessibility options
- Considering public transport and active travel
- Finding balanced solutions that work for Hall users and neighbours alike
Over a series of sessions, the group will help develop a new travel policy for Fearon Hall – one that reflects local needs, community concerns, and realistic solutions.
We are currently looking for four local residents or Hall users to join the working group.
You do not need any special experience – just an interest in helping improve how our community uses and accesses the Hall. We want the group to include a range of voices, experiences, and perspectives so that decisions are fair, practical, and informed by the people most affected.
The first meeting will be a hybrid meeting so you can attend in person or online. The proposed date is Wednesday 17th June. Full details will be sent to those who sign up for the working group.
If you would like a copy of the working group’s Terms of Reference, or would like to express an interest in joining, please email CTOP@EmpathyLabExperience.com.
You can also read more about the issues raised at the February public meeting on our Future Fearon page.
We hope you’ll consider getting involved and helping us create positive, practical solutions for the future of Fearon Hall and the wider community.
